Determine the type of product you are able to use based on your subfloor construction.
If you have plywood or wood subfloor construction you can virtually use any of the product categories of wood flooring such as nail down, glue down or floating wood flooring. Keep in mind that solid wood flooring products can only be used on or above grade level because of moisture related issues. Engineered products can be used on, above and below grade levels because of its dimensional stability.
If you have concrete or another type of hard surface subfloor, your flooring will have to be installed utilizing the glue down or floating methods of installation.
